Does God Really Exist?

Author Unknown

A man went to a barbershop to have his haircut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good  conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects.

When they eventually touched on the subject of God,the barber said: 'I don't believe that God exists.'
Why do you say that?' asked the customer.'Well, you just have to go out in the street torealize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so manysick people? Would there be abandoned children?

If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things.' The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument.

The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop.
Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an  untrimmed  beard. He looked dirty and unkempt.

The customer turned back and entered the barbershop again and he said to the barber: 'You know what? Barbers do not exist.'

'How can you say that?' asked the surprised barber. 'I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!'
'No!' the customer exclaimed. 'Barbers don'texist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmedbeards, like that man outside.'
'Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when  people do not come to me.' '

Exactly!' affirmed the customer.

'That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help.     That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world.'

Cheerleaders?

The happenings in our lives  are all relative to where we are at in our walk, what we’ve experienced, had and done in our lives.
To one the smallest act of kindness  could be the most amazing thing that has happened to them, and to another it may seem a bit insignificant  even trivial but to that person it meant the world.
One may look and mock while others cheer on with even the slightest movement in a new direction.
What is this all about?
Those who applaud have an awareness of each ones path and that they are not in control of it, Truly being happy to see others gain ground and bring fulfillment into their lives.  While the mockers sit back with a condemning eye, judging where it is not their place.  Jealous of newness for others, envious of change that has not happened to them, looking at the glass half empty if you will, and always finding fault with others.
Why is this?
If you are one of those kind of people, a mocker, Mr. or Ms. Negativity, ask yourself why.  Why are you so negative and pessimistic?
Are you jealous, envious that those things don’t happen to you?  Are you living in self pity? Maybe having once had and now are living in the hurt and pain of your experiences in life.
Is there self doubt? That you don’t deserve to live happily?
Fear of the what ifs.
We all must come to a point where we can truly be happy for others.  Have a desire to see them succeed, move forward, become the one who spurs them on.
When we get out of OUR SELF and realize it’s not all about us, we become cheerleaders in life, for ourselves and those around us.

No one wants to be around a negative attitude person who is always looking for the bad or indifferent in any situation.  Even YOU don’t want to be around that, even if it is YOU that is the negative one.
We must understand that we are all gifted and unique, we all have a purpose.  My purpose is different from yours None of us are the same.    I can help you grow and be happy by being your cheerleader and spurring you on and I want you to be the same for me.  But we must get over what ever selfish reason we have for our negativity or we can get stuck in a life draining cycle of fear, pity and self doubt and that does not help anyone.
Today lets commit to letting go of our pessimistic, negative attitudes and focus on the good.  Lets be happy for those we love, spurring them on toward what it is that they are called to do.  As we do this it will be returned in our lives.  Make the change today!

Encourage one another in Love and in Brotherly Kindness

Easter

Jesus who lived a blameless life dying a sinners death for YOU & Me

Easter 2012
It is not at all about bunnies and eggs, which I don't even know how that came about but that is what this world has come to, very commercialized and trying to “sell” holidays
It's about a man sent by God his name was Jesus.   He's written about more than any other person that has ever lived, more controversy than anyone else,  a man not a profit or a good guy or just another person.   Someone sent, destined by God to change the entire human race.
On Easter we celebrate the fact that this man Jesus not only died but three days later rose again. Paying the penalty of humans sin if we accept the fact that that is what He did then we have a right relationship with God and access into heaven which is eternal life.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23
It is clearly lined out in the Bible but people choose not to believe what it says.  Or they simply choose not to read it. But just because a person chooses not to read what something says or to believe that something is true does not mean that it really is not true.
It is true, it is fact.    Why is it that people will believe history books in school other educational texts, take tests on it and gets to be scholars on it yet this one book that has been around the longest in history, they don't believe as true?

Well whether you read it or not it is true. Accepting what Jesus Christ has done for you believing what He has done for you makes you have a right relationship with God which equals entering  into heaven.
The Bible says that to enter you must go through Jesus Christ
So if you think it's true or not whether you have read it or not, it is the truth and do not be deceived.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.
The Bible says in John chapter 3 verse 16 for God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever shall believe in Him shall have eternal life.
The whosoever means whoever should believe in Jesus shall have eternal life.
It is not based on anything that you have said or done or how good you have been that will get you to Heaven,  it is just believing that God sent Jesus to pay the price for your sin so that you could be in right relationship with Him and go to heaven with Him.
It doesn't matter whether you have a read or not read, done or not done good things, it is based on whether you believe the ONE true God, the one who created the Heavens and the earth, that God sent Jesus to pay the price for you.

Jesus paying the price dying for your sins so that you could be forgiven
and live for ever in Heaven with God for eternity.

So this Easter what do you believe? Do you believe in bunnies and egg's or  what someone else has told you, or do you believe in what God has done for you in sending Jesus?
 READ FOR YOURSELF!
Jesus paying the price dying for your sins so that you could be forgiven and live for ever in Heaven with God for eternity.
Are you going to continue to not read for yourself, only listening to what others have told you, not believe the truth of the Word of God, and be ignorant of the fact that Jesus is the only way to Heaven?
OR are you going to believe that Jesus died for your SINS,  Rose again on the third day, which is what Easter really is and that is what we are celebrating this Sunday!

HE CONQUERED DEATH, HELL AND THE GRAVE ROSE AGAIN
ON THE 3RD DAY.

HE HAS RISEN!
Price paid in FULL!  will you accept it today?

1John 1:5-10
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

The ROMANS ROAD....is the pathway you can walk.
It is a group of Bible verses from the book of Romans in the New Testament.  If you walk down this road you will end up understanding how to be saved.
Romans 3:23  "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
We all have sinned. We all were born with sin.
We were born under the power of sin's control.
- Admit that you are a sinner.

Romans 6:23a  "...The wages of sin is death..."
Sin has an ending.  It results in death.  We all face physical death, which is a result of sin.  But a worse death is spiritual death that alienates us from God, and will last for all eternity.  The Bible teaches that there is a place called the Lake of Fire where lost people will be in torment forever.   It is the place where people who are spiritually dead will remain.
- Understand that you deserve death for your sin.

Romans 6:23b  "...But the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Salvation is a free gift from God to you!  You can't
earn this gift, but you must reach out and receive it.
- Ask God to forgive you and save you.

Romans 5:8,  "God demonstrates His own love for us, in
that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!"

When Jesus died on the cross He paid sin's penalty. He paid the price for all sin, and when He took all the sins of the world on Himself on the cross, He bought us out of slavery to sin and death! The only condition is that we believe in Him and what He has done for us, understanding that  we are now joined with Him, and that He is our life.  He did all this because He loved us and gave Himself for us!
- Give your life to God... His love poured out in Jesus on the cross is your only hope to have forgiveness and change.  His love bought you out of being a slave to sin.

His love is what saves you -  not religion
 or church membership.

Romans 10:13  "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord  will be saved!"
- Call out to God in the name of Jesus!

Romans 10:9,10  "...If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting  in salvation."
- If you know that God is knocking on your heart's door,
ask Him to come into your heart.

Jesus said,
Revelation 3:20a "Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him..."
-  Jesus IS knocking on your heart's door

  Believe in Him.
Ask Him to come in to your heart  by faith,
and ask Him to reveal Himself to you.

Open the Bible to the Gospel of John and read what God says about Jesus,
about you, and about being born again.
 John 1:12
"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name!"

God will help you.  He loves you.
You need to look for a local church where
God's word is preached.  The Bible says that we are to desire
God's word like a newborn baby desires mother's milk.
Aren't you hungry to know the truth?
